Lola Omotayo Okoye, wife of music star Peter Okoye of Psquare, has posted a cryptic message on Instagram following the remarriage of her brother-in-law, Paul Okoye.
In her post, Lola shared a video of herself enjoying life, captioned with a message emphasizing that she is living her life and minding her own business. She wished her followers a blessed week and expressed gratitude for a simple life.
“Living and minding my business. Have a blessed week y’all,” she wrote.
In response, actress Kate Henshaw praised Lola for her approach to life, commenting, “Best way to live gorgeous one.” Other followers also admired Lola’s stance, highlighting her drama-free zone and her beautiful heart.
Over the weekend, Paul Okoye tied the knot traditionally with his pregnant girlfriend, Ivy Ifeoma, in her hometown of Igbere, Abia State.
The event was captured in videos showing Paul with Ivy and her family during the traditional marriage rites. Confirming the marriage, Paul shared photos on Instagram with the caption “IfyNonso.”
Noticeably absent from the wedding were Paul’s twin brother, Peter, and his wife, Lola. Lola’s absence might not be surprising given her loyalty to Paul’s estranged wife, Anita Okoye.
Despite Anita’s split from Paul, Lola has maintained a close relationship with her, often showing support and love.
In November, to celebrate Anita’s birthday, Lola expressed pride in Anita and praised her parenting skills. Anita reciprocated with gratitude, appreciating Lola’s unwavering support and describing her as a true embodiment of sisterhood.
In 2021, Anita Okoye had filed for divorce from Paul, citing infidelity and other issues.
She alleged that Paul was involved with their maid, showed little interest in their children, and had broken promises regarding her brand.
The divorce, finalized last year, resulted in Anita gaining access to Paul’s properties and receiving child support.
Lola’s recent post and her ongoing support for Anita reflect her commitment to family and her personal principles amid the unfolding events in the Okoye family.
