Three Persons Reportedly Lost Their Lives After Walls Coll@psed on Them at a Demolition Site in Enugu


Three individuals have tragically lost their lives at the demolition site designated for the proposed Enugu Central Station along Ogui-Market Road in the Enugu North Council Area of the state.

According to a report by SaharaReporters, the deceased individuals, identified as scavengers, perished when the walls of the demolished property collapsed on them.

Reportedly, two individuals lost their lives on Friday, while another succumbed to a similar fate on Saturday.

An eyewitness recounted to SaharaReporters that the two individuals who died on Friday were in the process of removing belongings from one of the houses, from which occupants had been evicted, when an earth-moving vehicle collided with the house, causing the wall to collapse on them.“They were rushed to the Mother of Specialist Hospital but regrettably on getting to the hospital doctors pronounced them d£ad.

On Saturday, around 11:30am another person was hit and k+lled by falling debris from one of the several storey buildings,” the source said.

Confirming the development, a senior police officer told the publication that: “I can tell you authoritatively that some persons di£d at the demolition site when bulldozers pulled walls and it fell on them.”
