Prince Harry and Meghan Arrive in Nigeria to Champion the Invictus Games

Prince Harry and Meghan, his wife, landed in Nigeria on Friday to champion the Invictus Games, an initiative he established to aid in the rehabilitation of wounded and sick service members and veterans, including Nigerian soldiers involved in a 14-year conflict against Islamic extremists.

As reported by the Associated Press on Friday, the couple, embarking on their first trip to West Africa at the Nigerian military’s invitation, arrived in Abuja, the capital city, early in the morning, as confirmed by defence spokesman Brigadier General Tukur Gusau.

During their stay, they will connect with injured soldiers and their families, with the goal of uplifting morale and overall wellbeing. Nigerian authorities have praised this involvement as a significant opportunity for the recovery of Nigerian soldiers.
