Suspect Apprehended for Slitting Okada Rider’s Throat and Stealing Motorcycle

Nasarawa State police have arrested a suspect linked to a motorcycle theft in Masaka.

According to DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer for Nasarawa State, officers from Masaka Division conducted the arrest and shared details in a statement on Thursday.

Reports from Nansel allege that Ibrahim Isiaka, a resident of Riverside, Masaka, collaborated with another individual to rob a commercial motorcyclist.

Isiaka reportedly boarded the motorcycle with the intention of traveling to Bigmali along Jankanwa road in Masaka.

However, during the journey, he allegedly attacked the rider with a blade, injuring him and stealing the motorcycle.

The communication disclosed, “While en route, Ibrahim Isiaka utilized a knife to inflict a cut on the throat of the commercial motorcyclist and made away with the motorcycle.

“Law enforcement officers promptly rushed the victim to a medical facility, where he was stabilized and receiving treatment.

“An extensive search led to the capture of the perpetrator and the retrieval of the stolen motorcycle, with ongoing efforts to apprehend the accomplice who is currently at large.”
